We run our Puppy Skills class as a 10-12 week program because we want to make sure we’re supporting you every step of the way through puppyhood and into adolescence.

We are not a ‘do it quick and graduate me’ kind of program. We want to make sure we are helping raise the most confident and well adjusted kiddos we can. We are a reward-based program – though this doesn’t mean we don’t have boundaries with our dogs. A longer program (depending on when you enter the program) means we can generally support you through key developmental periods in your dogs life like:

• key socialization periods
• fear periods
• adolescence

We make sure that we’re training out the common behaviors we don’t want to see like:

• jumping
• puppy biting and mouthing
• excessive licking (if you’re not into puppy kisses like we are)
• crying in the kennel
• pottying in the house

We’ll start with beginner obedience skillbuilding by learning cues for:

• Sit, Down, and Stand positions
• Come When Called
• Leave it
• Take it
• Drop it
• Stay
• Name Game

We’ll make learning fun for you and your puppy through unique engagement exercises and games:

• impulse control exercises
• focus games
• puppy pushups and ‘burpees’ to proof our positions
• trick training for engagement
• treat chasing and nose targeting for come when called
• tug games for take it/drop it

We’ll spend lots of time on confidence building and socialization (which isn’t just about people and dogs) with goals like:

• good experiences with people and dogs
• comfortable around other dogs but not needing to engage
• comfortable in unpredictable and new environments
• controlled exposure to common triggers like thunder, loud noises, new textures
• desensitizing to grooming, handling, and vet visits through co-operative care

Once your program is complete, our door is always open. We are always here for support if you have any questions on your dog journey or want to continue structured fun with your dog. We are passionate about providing dogs with mental stimulation and physical exercise from the day we meet them throughout their golden years – some of our training clients are 14 years old and still having fun doing the work.

Puppy Day Pogram

This is an option for individuals wanting to really set their puppy up for success. These packages include the ‘send your dog to school’ program. Think daycare but with obedience work built in. During day train we work on your specific training goals, obedience cues, socialization, fitness, and enrichment. Expect a tired puppy and an easier time in group classes with these programs.

Day Program: Option 1

One Month Package | $750

This package includes:

• One day train slot per week (4 per month)
• Two introductory grooming sessions
• Two private sessions
• 3 puppy playgroupp sessions
• 5% off all retail items including chews and treats

Day Program: Option 2

One Month Package | $950

This package includes:

• One day train slot per week (4 per month)
• Two introductory grooming sessions
• Two private sessions
• 10 week Puppy Skills group training class
• 3 puppy playgroup sessions
• 5% off all retail items including chews and treats
